LORD OF THE FLIES

My GF is an amazing woman. Little by little our house is starting to feel like a home, with the addition of new furniture, decorations, photos, pictures etc. One of the things that she has put in around the house, which I love, is potted plants varying in sizes and types.

The plants give the house a really nice feel. It feels fresh and alive and always welcoming.

That was until it was invaded by little flies, that have made these plants their home.

These little pests are everywhere! If you leave a glass of water or food out, you will find them floating dead in the cup or bowel when you return. These suicidal S.O.Bs have become a pain.

The GF hates it. She starts freaking out about the flies, and now has declared personal war against the little winged invaders.

She gets the plant spray out and goes crazy trying to kill them, shouting and threatening them before every spray.

I cant bare to see her like this, its driving her crazy. I want to end this.

I found a fly catcher on the net. It uses a chemical to attract the flies and then “SNAP!!!” it catches them in its little sneaky trap. BWAHAHAHAHA.

Whats even cooler is that the fly catcher is in the shape of a “Venus Fly Trap” like the one from the movie “Little Shop of Horrors”

I don’t want to kill them, but they started it.

FRUITS OF LABOUR (BLACKBERRY OR APPLE)

Blackberry commercial

The question on my lips lately has been, which fruit to buy, the blackberry or the apple. What I’m referring to is a new phone, the "Blackberry Bold" or the "Apple iPhone".

There are many disadvantages and advantages of both. Both phones are roughly the same size with the "Blackberry Bold" being slightly thicker and wider, but not by much. The iPhone clearly has a wide variety of multimedia features and an extremely well presented sizable, high resolution screen.

The "Blackberry" however is well suited to tasks of scheduling and is well suited to the professional in the workplace. "Blackberry" also have set up the infrastructure around the phone, such as e-mails and an independent internet server.

Both phones prove to be dominant in the world of PDA phones, I guess it comes down to personal preference and purpose for use. Doesn’t make the decision any easier though!

KICKEN IT OLD SCHOOL

My next purchase of shoes, is this pair of Reebok Commitment Mids. I need new shoes badly, so I am going to get a couple of pairs. Haven’t decided on the others yet though!!
These Reeboks caught my eye. They are a re-release of a shoe originally released in 1989, proof that "what goes around comes around". Guess I am just attracted to the old school style (oh wait its cooler to spell school, "skool").. "Ol skool style" hahahahaha

I will put up another post when i decide on the other pairs.

SUNNEY BEACH OF HAWAii

KAHALA RESORT PRIVATE BEACH

I haven’t been in the most happiest place lately! Haven’t been my goofy self, because of the stress of work and constantly being away from home and alone, in the middle of no where. The effect of this flows onto my family and friends, which is very selfish!!
There is one thing however that makes me smile and happy every time I think of it. Last year Cotton Socks and myself went to Hawaii, and I have to say it was the best time of my life till date.
We are starting to save for our next trip at the mid to end of the year, and just the thought of that makes me smile and feel happy inside again. We are hoping our friends will come with us this time, it will be good to create these memories together. So if you guys are reading this, you better be saving!!! Oh Yeah..No excuses about taking time off work either (You know who you are!!!GRRRRR).
The last time we went, we stayed at the Kahala Resort, which had a private beach and was just amazing. We went to Waikiki allot as well which is not big but has enough to do…and more importantly had Chanel and Louis Vuitton for Cotton Socks. HE HE… All in all it was an amazing and relaxing hoiday. The Kahala would play a song by a local artist Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo`ole call "White Sandy Beach" in your room, I guess you could say it was their theme song. Anyway every time we hear it now it makes us miss Hawaii (Home of Barak Obama).
Click on the Kahala Resort link below to check out the venue and hear the song.
I think this time we go to Hawaii I might try more fun activities like surfing and more touristy stuff or NOT!!!. Maybe ill just lounge by the pool or on the beach. hahaha. The private beach was another really relaxing thing about the Kahala. You could just lay on the beach on your beach lounge. There was a little flag pole near every lounge and all you had to do is raise the flag and the staff would bring you food or drinks of your choice...AWSOME.
OK, Writing this blog is making me miss the place even more.
TIME TO GO HOME TO HAWAII, SUNNEY BEACH OF HAWAIII

GUESS WHO!!!!!!

I know you know who this is! Well he hasn’t changed much. I found this funny photo of Pharell when looking for the NERD cover of "Seeing Sounds". To me it kinda looks photo shopped, hope not because its the funniest.
Damn imagine if they got my old school photos, they are even geekier. Its good to look back at the old photos and have a laugh at yourself.
If it is real, I am almost certain that he hasn’t aged at all, he is like Peter Pan!
If you don’t know Pharell Williams dont worry about reading on! hahaha... (no you can if you want), but he is part of the super music producing duo Neptune’s and one of the biggest bands N.E.R.D (No one Ever Really Dies) together with band members Chad Hugo and Shay Hayley.
Anyway Im happy to say that I have tickets to the N.E.R.D, "Seeing Sounds" tour in Melbourne March 5th 2009. Last time they were here they played at the "Forum" in Melbourne, which is a good venue, and well the concert is self was nothing short of amazing.
This year the concert is at the Hisense Arena (Formally Vodaphone Arena). This is a bigger venue and we will have to see if this makes a difference. Hopefully not! If you dont know N.E.R.D, check out the link below. http://www.n-e-r-d.com/

NEW DEPTH FOR GOOGLE (GLEEVEN GLAVEN)

Google...The company responsible for Google Earth and Maps have recently improved our ability to explore our planet from our computers. In conjunction with Google Earth 5, the addition of deep sea exploration has created another dynamic to the already versatile program.

By using Google Earth 5, the user can explore the depths of the Ocean. This is why Google can stay ahead of the game and have shattered their competition.

THE ART OF THE JUMP SHOT

The debate of who has the best jump shot is debatable. Many say Ray Allen from the Boston Celtics, and others say Gilbert Arenas from the Washington Wizards. Maybe even the Golden State Warriors forward Stephen Jackson.

Those who make this claim have not seen my jump shot from Disneyland Tokyo.

Naaaaah, Im not talking about basketball, Im talking about the forgotten art of jump shots in photographs. My gf and myself can have hours of fun taking awesome jump shots where ever we go.

In fact I challenge everybody to post a jump shot of themselves somewhere, post it on their blog and send me a link. I will comment on your jump shot.

Its amazing, how much fun jump shots can be. We are taking it to the next level in photo booths and street shots etc. It could be an Olympic sport or x game some day.

Hey! Stranger things have happened. Example: WNBA (Womens National Basketball Association. (That’s a little “Family Guy” joke for the fans)

Oh yeah and “Curling” made the Winter Olympics, how the f@#$ is that even a sport.

I know lets get a broom and sweep the ice in front of a moving thingy to hit a target. Sweeping, WTF!, this is more like house work, not a sport!!!!!!!!

Im getting off the track (no pun intended)…where was I?

Oh yeah…..Jump Shots.

They rule! Try it out and send me the link.

Jingle Bells, Shopping Smells

I have no doubt at all that it was a woman that created Christmas. It couldn't of been a man for the simple fact that it involves copious amounts of shopping.

I am lucky enough to have a treasure of a gf, who has done practically all our chrismas shopping for us. OH YEAH

Anyway, even though my cute face gf has done all the shopping, I still had to buy her present. Sorry, I mean presents (plural).

This would be ok if she liked cheap things, but she loves expensive things, all designer.

I had a few ideas and was taking notes whilst shopping with her. I think I did really good this year, because I have put allot of effort into it. She thinks she knows what she is getting, but she has no idea. I really hope she likes it, or there will be a trip to the shops to return or exchange. The funny thing is that she usually sneaks around prior to christmas to try and find her presents and never finds it. Whats even funnier is that this year I hid it right under her nose and she will never find it hahahahahahahahaha.

...(if you like it then you gotta put a ring on it...piss of beyonce, rings cost to much and christmas just made me broke.) hahaha
What is with that song, its S@#$

60% OF THE TIME, IT WORKS EVERY TIME

The movie Anchorman, the legend of Ron Burgendy is an inspirational movie, that may even be the most appropriate movie for the month of Movember. It is can be compared to likes of Shindlers List, Shashank Redemption, The Pursuit of Happiness etc.

Left is the great "Brian Fantana" known for his exuberant yet pungent colognes and aftershaves.

He is the inspiration for this blog, the inspiration for the perfect xmas gift for the men this.

Some times a more masculine and fragrance is needed, one that stings the nostrils. Let me introduce WD - 40 for men. Yes thats right, our favourite lubrication application is now a formidable scent. A xmas gift sure to warm the hearts of all men and melt all the hearts of the ladies around the world.

WD-40 "Ooh, a formidable scent. It's quite pungent. It...it stings the nostrils. [...] Brian, to be honest with you, that smells like pure gasoline".

HER MESS (Hermes)

This is the love of my life (yes this time im talking about my girlfriend and not my 58" plasma).

She is busted in Louis Vuitton, Couch Shopping. hahahaha. No actually she is waiting patiently for a her new wallet.

Before I met her, you could say, I was fashionably deprived, challenged and some might say even fashionably retarded. This is starting to change. I actually know allot about the major brands and their products. (Mainly becuase she is obsessed and is always telling me about it)

Any way! One of the brands that tickles her shopping fancy is "Hermes" pronounce (Her_mez). I thought it was pronounced (Her meeez) like the Jamaican dude from futureama.

Anyway you can see she is wearing two of their bracelets and has many more at home, including belts, scarfs, perfumes. She also has many immediate plans for handbags, more bracelets and scarfs (yes baby, I know you do!)

The ones she is wearing are called a "looping bracelet" and an "enamel bracelet" (aka click H, "I think").

Why am I talking about Hermes and her obsession with this stuff you ask....wellllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found out that I may have an interest in Hermes....ohhhh yes that right baby, I too am obsesssed with Hermes now, and there wont be anymore Hermes buying until i get my Hermes product.

Let me introduce you to the Bugatti Veyron Fbg by Hermes.

I am dribbling whilst writing this, its quite disgusting actually. I love this car. Its the same car seen in my blog about "Scott Storch", however this is an Hermes Special addition.
(My Heart is racing at a ridiculous rate)

Below is an exert from an "autoblog"

Ettore Bugatti and Émile Hermès met in the 1920s, when Ettore ordered a bespoke suitcase for his first Bugatti Royale. Almost eighty years later, at the 2006 Pebble Beach Concours d'Élégance, representatives of Bugatti and Hermès met again. And this encounter turned out to be the beginning of a new collaboration between the two houses. The revival of this relationship may initially appear surprising, as the association between the renowned luxury house and the legendary car manufacturer in today's automotive context would not immediately spring to mind. It confirms that heritage is able to survive over a time span of several decades.

Specifications:
This remarkable car features an array of excep¬tional characteristics: the innovative alliance of a technologically advanced engine, deliver¬ing 1001 horsepower, with an understated yet uncompromising silhouette reflecting the high performance capacities of state-of-the-art engineering and design, and above all, the pleasure these inspire in every Bugatti owner. The fascination exerted by this sports coupé, capable of reaching 407 km/h, is due in large part to its unique alliance of the very finest motor-racing technology with comfortable handling for everyday driving. The 16-cylinder "W" configuration engine is fed by four turbochargers and features 64 valves, generating 1001 horse¬power at 6000 rpm. The engine draws on its 8-litre displacement to deliver a maximum torque of 1250 Newton-metres between 2200 and 5500 rpm. With full-time all-wheel drive, the car's phenomenal power produces breath-takingly dynamic handling, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.5 seconds. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 benefits from aeronautical and aerospace technologies, making it the fastest production car ever made. The car also features a braking system designed to deliver unprecedented powers of deceleration, establish¬ing a new industry benchmark. The carbon-fibre discs provide brake pressure of up to 180 bars, combined with eight-piston monobloc callipers and titanium pistons fitted with fine steel heads and ceramic heat protectors. Apply the brakes at speeds above 200 km/h, and the rear wing acts as an airbrake, positioning itself at an angle of 113 degrees in less than 0.4 seconds, augmenting the Bugatti Veyron's already impressive stopping power. The airbrake increases negative lift at the rear of the car to 300 kg, enhancing the braking torque on the rear axle. At 400 km/h, emergency braking will bring the sports car to a complete halt in less than 10 seconds.

Hermes Interior

The inner surfaces of the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès have been designed and sheathed in bull calfskin by the Hermès workshops in Paris. The care and attention to detail observe an extremely refined, minimalist formal vocabulary, reflecting the tradition of the very first Bugattis and the fundamental design principles of the house of Hermès. The door handles echo the fluid forms of handles on Hermès travel bags and luggage. And the dashboard, traditionally finished in brushed aluminium, is here clad entirely in bull calfskin. Passengers aboard the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès will find a dashboard glove compartment designed to hold a selection of small travel accessories and a zipped Hermès wallet. Both seats are covered in two-toned bull calfskin, and the panel separating the cockpit from the central rear engine – traditionally made of carbon fibre – is covered in the same fine leather. The leather-lined trunk holds a specially-fitted "Toile H" and leather case, hand-made by craftsmen from the Hermès workshops.

STILL STORCH

Scott Storch! Everybody would of heard the super producers tracks once in their life time. Scott Storch is responsible for some of the biggest hip hop, R&B hits made.

Below are just some of the hits produced by Storch.
1) Anarchy - Busta Rhymes
2) Still Dre - Dr Dre
3) Lean Back - Fat Joe
4) Candy Shop - 50 cent

If I gave you the full list of hits, this blog would go forever.

Recently, due to some incompetent people hired by the Storch Company, Scott Storch has had allot of his things repossessed due to poor financial management.

Unfortunately the repercussions of other peoples actions hit Storch’s pocket and pride the hardest. Out of the woodworks came all the critics again hitting someone when they are down, and they are the same people to suck his &@#$ when he is on top. (It makes me sick)

Lets keep in mind, that this is the man originally a keyboardist for the "Roots" and one of the producers responsible for some of the greatest hits around.

Also keeping in mind that "Its not how hard you fall, but how quickly you get up and brush it off" that counts. Storch is a Piano player and a musician before a producer, so it is in his blood to be good and reinvent himself. This is why I have so much faith in the fact that we will hear from Scott Storch in the very near future.

The “Hit Maker” will be back.
The heart of Scott Storch's sound bank is his use of Digidesigns Protools and His Yamaha Motif ES that you see him on stage with as well as his Akai MPC.

SNAKES & LATHERS

This is not what you want to find in your shower.
This was found in the accommodation that I live in, where I work.
Below is the notification put out...
"A person was showering and felt something lick their foot. When they looked down there was a reptiles head poking through the drain grating at the base of the shower. They thought it was a lizard and attempted to free it from the grating. After several unsuccessful attempts they decided they would have to cut the reptiles head off to enable them to free it from the shower grating. After doing so and removing the animal they were shocked to discover what was actually stuck in the drain! The photos tell the story…"
This is a "Western Brown Snake" also known as the Gwardir. It is responsible for the most death via snake bites in Australia. OHH YEAH EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT IN YOU SHOWER!
I am extra careful now when showering...
I feel bad for the fact that the snake died, but i dont think the guys that killed it, did it intentionally.

MINING MY OWN BUSINESS

These photos are of the place that I work. I am working away from home in a rural town in Western Australia called Dampier.
The main business here is the mining of Iron ore. Its dirt thats worth more than gold.
Working so far away from home is hard, even thogh the $$$$ are amazing. Whats even harder is being away from the love of my life, my 58" samsung plasma tv..hahahaha sorry baby (Im going to be introuble for that one!)

The work here is interesting, I am in Engineering so have responsibility to up keep and design new equipment on a daily basis.

Some of the photos on this post show the beautiful scenes that I see day in day out. Dampier is situated on the coast so is surrounded by water, which means that when working on the wharf marine animals are often sighted, from turtles, all sorts of fish and sharks.

I hope the sacrafice Im making now pays off in the long run. There are allot of sacrafices that are made! You loose allot of sleep due to the long hours, when everybody is partying back home, you are usually working or sleeping and miss out on allot of your youth. The rooms you live in are really small and after a while the walls close in on you, it takes a good mental strength sometimes, to keep your self strong and not let it get to you. It eventually catches up, and "sooner or later it all comes crashing down" (NERD).

PLANET OF THE BAPE

It is usually my passion for fashion gf that does all the shopping where ever we go. However on a recent trip to Japan, the tables were turned. (See picture above)
I dont usually find clothes that I really like, but I am obsessed with the clothing brands BBC/ICE CREAMS and BAPE.
BAPE (A Bathing Ape) is a brand started by Japanese entrepreneur Tomoaki "Nigo" Nagao. The brand was names after the 1968 film "Planet of the Apes" The "bathing" part of the name comes from a Japanese saying "bathing in luke warm water" it is a metaphor for over indulgence (which I am becoming accustom to).
The other brand that I am obsessed with is the BBC (Billionaire Boys Club), who also make the brand Ice Creams. This brand is the sister brand of BAPE, co-created by Tomoaki "Nigo" Nagao and Super Producer and Musician Pharrell Williams of the Neptunes.
Check out the websites below:
